And M is for Medusa by Jessica Posey turns toward myth, reimagining the infamous Medusa through a contemporary lens and exploring rage, identity, transformation, and who gets to decide which womxn are remembered as monsters.
Together, these productions move between humor, tension, heartbreak, fury, and discovery, centering complicated characters who refuse to be reduced, silenced, or made small.
Education
Artist Development
At Campfire Repertory Theatre, education means creating spaces where artists of every age can learn, experiment, connect, and grow. Our 2026–27 education programming brings together youth development, professional resources, and accessible theatre training for the Chicago community.
Through Teen Studio, young artists develop their voices through professional theatre training, collaboration, original work, and performance, using theatre as a tool for creativity, confidence, and social change.
For emerging and working artists, Discover Chicago Theatre helps participants navigate Chicago’s theatre community, connect with local companies, find auditions and creative opportunities, build their networks, and take confident next steps in their careers.
And with The Joy of Improv, led by performer, director, and educator Julia Morales, artists of all experience levels are invited to play, take risks, trust their instincts, strengthen collaboration, and rediscover the simple joy of creating something together.
From the next generation of theatre-makers to artists finding their place in Chicago, Campfire is creating pathways to learn, play, connect, and belong.
